OPEC+ Holds Steady on Output Targets as Middle East Turmoil Persists

Key members of OPEC+ have reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining current crude production quotas, even as the ongoing conflict involving Iran continues to halt oil output across significant parts of the Middle East.

The cartel announced on Sunday that a ministerial panel, consisting of seven nations led by Saudi Arabia and Russia, convened for its monthly video conference and decided to keep the output reduction targets unchanged for October.

This decision aligns with the group's previously established roadmap, which calls for production cuts to remain in place through the end of the year. The panel is scheduled to hold its next monthly meeting on October 4th.
