The immediate priority is to restore the stability and smooth flow of the global semiconductor supply chain, which is a shared interest of the international community, including China and the Netherlands. According to a statement published on the Ministry of Commerce’s official website on February 13, a spokesperson responded to a media inquiry regarding the Dutch court’s ruling in the ON Semiconductor case. When asked about the Dutch Enterprise Court’s decision to launch an investigation into alleged mismanagement by ON Semiconductor, the spokesperson stated that China has taken note of the development. The spokesperson emphasized that restoring stability to the global semiconductor supply chain is an urgent common goal for the international industry, including both Chinese and Dutch stakeholders. It is hoped that the Netherlands will act in a mutually constructive manner and, in the interest of maintaining the stability of the global semiconductor industry chain, create favorable conditions for the two sides to resolve internal disputes through consultation.
