Red Property Management Serves as "Housekeeper" to Solve Elderly Living Challenges

"Don't be fooled by our old community - we have all the services we need, and they're even better!" said Mei Haishan, a resident of Meiyuan Community, with evident satisfaction.

To extend elderly care services to seniors' "doorsteps," Chuankou Community partnered with local state-owned property management companies to create standardized "Red Property Management." Using a "Party Building + Property Management + Elderly Care" model, they formed "Elderly Assistance Service Teams" comprised of Party members, property staff, and volunteers. For seniors with mobility issues, the service teams provide "proxy services" including grocery shopping and utility bill payments. When elderly residents face household issues like electrical problems or loose furniture, property maintenance staff respond immediately, providing on-site repairs free of labor charges. Additionally, community volunteers coordinate with property staff to regularly visit seniors living alone, checking for home safety hazards and providing emotional support, serving as "caring housekeepers" for the elderly. Since the beginning of this year, the "Elderly Assistance Service Teams" have served seniors 186 times and addressed 232 home maintenance needs.

"Yixiaoguang" Station Acts as "Hub" Covering Health and Spiritual Needs

The "Yixiaoguang" station serves as an important base for community services, focusing on elderly health management and spiritual and cultural needs while creating a warm and convenient "one-stop" service space. The station collaborates with local health service centers and retired medical volunteer professionals to regularly conduct free medical consultations, providing blood pressure and glucose testing, chronic disease consultation, and medication guidance. For special elderly groups including those living alone, disabled, or seriously ill, they establish "one person, one file" records, with volunteers conducting regular follow-up visits to track health conditions. Since the beginning of this year, they have served 1,820 elderly residents.

"Here I can not only get health check-ups but also practice calligraphy - life is fulfilling and enjoyable!" said Wang Tongsheng with a smile after participating in the "Silver Age Classroom." The station's "Silver Age Classroom" teaches seniors to use smartphones and offers courses in calligraphy, painting, and handicrafts, helping elderly residents integrate into digital society and develop hobbies. They also actively organize outdoor movie nights and holiday celebrations, hosting 12 events this year with over 800 elderly participants, bringing more joy and less loneliness to seniors' lives.

"Veterans' Home" Warms Veterans' Hearts and Demonstrates Respectful Service

Addressing the needs of elderly veterans in the community, Chuankou Community specifically created the "Veterans' Home" specialized service platform to provide them with dedicated care. The "Veterans' Home" regularly invites staff from veteran affairs departments to provide on-site services including veteran benefit policy consultation, subsidy application assistance, and information registration, truly achieving "handling affairs without leaving the community."

"When I have time, I come here to reminisce with old comrades and chat about daily life - it warms my heart!" shared veteran Fu Dongfeng emotionally at a "Red Story Session." The "Veterans' Home" regularly conducts "Red Story Sessions," inviting retired veterans to share their military experiences, having held 16 sessions to widespread acclaim. To foster a "veterans helping veterans" atmosphere, the community encourages physically able elderly veterans to form "Veteran Mutual Aid Groups" that regularly visit sick comrades and assist with supply purchases. During important holidays, community staff also visit to show care, ensuring elderly veterans truly feel respected and cared for.

Through the deep integration of red platforms with embedded elderly care, Chuankou Community promotes the upgrade of elderly care services from "available" to "excellent." The community will continue to optimize service content and integrate multi-party resources, making "doorstep elderly care" more considerate and warmer, continuously enhancing the happiness and sense of belonging among elderly residents.
