The National Development and Reform Commission has announced that from 12:00 AM on August 14th, the prices of domestic gasoline and diesel (standard products) will be reduced by 230 yuan and 220 yuan per tonne, respectively.

This adjustment marks the fifth time refined oil product prices have been lowered this year. According to institutional calculations, the reduction equates to a decrease of 0.18 yuan per liter for 92-octane gasoline, 0.19 yuan per liter for 95-octane gasoline, and 0.19 yuan per liter for 0-octane diesel.

For a typical family car with a 50-liter fuel tank, filling up with 92-octane gasoline will save the owner approximately 9 yuan.
