ConocoPhillips (COP.US) and Occidental Petroleum Corp (OXY.US) each advanced nearly 1%. The positive movement came as WTI crude futures reached a session high, surpassing $116 per barrel with an intraday increase of more than 3%. Brent crude futures rose nearly 1% to $110.59. U.S. President Trump stated that "actions at 8 p.m. will still proceed," indicating that an "unprecedented strike" against Iran could still be launched, though he did not rule out changing the decision if negotiations showed progress during the day.
