Xiongan New Area has received approval to construct a national-level intellectual property protection center.

Recently, the National Intellectual Property Administration granted approval for the Xiongan New Area to proceed with the establishment of a national-level intellectual property protection center. This signifies that the area will develop a specialized, comprehensive, and rapid collaborative protection platform for intellectual property at the national level.

The center will focus on key local industries such as new-generation information technology and new materials, conducting precise and accelerated preliminary patent reviews to shorten examination timelines. It aims to create a one-stop integrated service platform for intellectual property, offering diversified services including notarization, arbitration, and mediation to support innovation entities within the area, thereby achieving comprehensive, chain-wide collaborative protection.

Leveraging professional data and resource advantages, the center will undertake tasks like patent navigation, risk early warning, and strategic layout planning tailored to the needs of these key industries. Additionally, it will routinely provide universal public services such as intellectual property search and inquiry, transformation of innovative achievements, and policy interpretation and consultation.

Currently, preparatory work for the Xiongan New Area National Intellectual Property Protection Center is progressing in an orderly manner. Once operational, the average patent authorization time for related industries is expected to be reduced by 70%. The center will also offer localized, one-stop intellectual property services for central state-owned enterprises, technology innovation firms, and research institutes settling in the area, helping to aggregate high-end innovation resources and further improve the collaborative intellectual property protection framework within the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.

In recent years, Xiongan New Area has continuously enhanced its intellectual property protection and service systems. It has formulated policies to promote high-quality intellectual property development and established a service network covering key zones including the start-up area, Rongdong district, and the high-tech zone. Concurrently, the area has actively explored financial innovations in intellectual property, creating a "white list" for enterprises eligible for pledge financing and regularly facilitating precise connections between banks and enterprises. This has cumulatively achieved nearly 300 million yuan in intellectual property pledge financing, effectively addressing the funding challenges faced by technology-based small and medium-sized enterprises.
