Shares of TIANLI HOLDINGS (00117) tumbled more than 13% following its profit warning announcement. At the time of writing, the stock was down 13.07% to HK$3.025, with turnover reaching HK$12.547 million.

On August 18, the company disclosed that it expects a shareholder-attributable loss of no more than RMB 5.8 million for the six months ending June 30, 2026, compared with a loss of RMB 33.8 million recorded in the same period of 2025. The narrower loss is largely attributed to a turnaround in the multilayer ceramic capacitor (MLCC) segment, which swung to a profit of approximately RMB 4.6 million during the period versus a segment loss of around RMB 16.9 million a year earlier. Additionally, the asset management business improved its financial performance, posting a segment profit of about RMB 15 million for the first half of 2026, up from roughly RMB 11.6 million in the prior corresponding period.

These segment gains were offset by corporate expenses tied to loan liabilities modified in 2025, primarily interest expenses on renegotiated loans. The company noted that the bulk of these interest charges are non-cash items and are not expected to materially affect its daily operations or cash flow.
