As China's capital, a city with millennia of history and a hub for international exchanges, Beijing has become a primary destination for inbound tourists. To meet the diverse payment service needs of these visitors, Bank of China has actively promoted the integration of communication and payment functions into a single card. The bank has launched the "Mifang Card" specifically for foreign tourists, with issuance already exceeding ten thousand cards to date, serving visitors from over 120 major countries and regions. Designed to address the essential daily and travel needs of international tourists, the "Mifang Card" combines three high-frequency services—payment, communication, and transportation—into one small SIM card. Upon arrival at Beijing Capital International Airport or Daxing Airport, foreign visitors can use their passports to apply for the card, which simultaneously activates communication services and allows for top-up of digital yuan to meet communication, transport, and shopping needs. In terms of usage, international tourists can simply insert the "Mifang Card" into their mobile phone's SIM card slot without needing to download or register any mobile payment apps or activate additional services. Functionally, the card provides voice calls, high-speed 5G data services, and SMS capabilities anywhere within China. Additionally, Bank of China offers a digital yuan payment experience, enabling transactions by simply tapping the phone against a POS terminal. The bank will continue to deepen its digital transformation, expand financial service scenarios, and promote the development of an open and mutually beneficial digital service ecosystem, providing superior financial services for international visitors and contributing to the high-quality growth of the capital.
