Tencent Holdings Limited disclosed on 2 October 2026 that it repurchased 238,000 ordinary shares on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange at prices between HKD 420.00 and HKD 424.80 per share, for a total consideration of HKD 100.34 million.

Including this latest transaction, Tencent has acquired 1.62 million shares for cancellation between 23 September and 2 October 2026. The aggregate outlay for these seven trading-day purchases stands at approximately HKD 702.77 million, implying a volume-weighted average cost of about HKD 434.14 per share. The shares awaiting cancellation represent roughly 0.018 % of the company’s 9.09 billion issued shares as of 2 October 2026.

Under the share-repurchase mandate granted on 13 May 2026, Tencent is authorised to buy back up to 911.80 million shares. To date, 48.33 million shares—or 0.53 % of the issued share base at the time of the mandate—have been repurchased on the Exchange. Following the 2 October transaction, Tencent is subject to a 30-day moratorium, lasting until 1 November 2026, on issuing new shares or selling any treasury shares, in line with Hong Kong listing rules.

No new shares were issued during the period, leaving Tencent’s outstanding share count unchanged at 9,092.61 million as of 2 October 2026. All repurchases were executed under board authorisation and complied with Hong Kong Stock Exchange regulations.
