Hengrui Pharma has announced that its subsidiary, Shanghai Shengdi Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., recently received notification from the National Medical Products Administration. The notification approves the addition of a perioperative indication for non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) for the company's Adebrelimab injection.

This marks the second approved indication for Adebrelimab in the field of lung cancer. Consequently, it has become the first domestically produced PD-L1 inhibitor in China to receive approval for an NSCLC perioperative indication.

Adebrelimab injection was initially approved for marketing in February 2023. Its previously approved indication is for use in combination with carboplatin and etoposide as a first-line treatment for patients with extensive-stage small cell lung cancer.
