AIA to List CNY1.00 Billion 2.88% Subordinated Notes Due 2036 on HKEX

AIA Group Limited (AIA) has filed for the listing and dealing permission on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (HKEX) for CNY1.00 billion of 2.88 per cent Subordinated Dated Securities maturing in 2036.

The new issuance will be consolidated with two prior tranches—CNY2.50 billion placed on 30 April 2026 and CNY0.50 billion placed on 12 June 2026—to form a single CNY4.00 billion series of 2.88 per cent notes. All securities are issued under AIA’s US$18.00 billion Global Medium Term Note and Securities Programme.

Corporate Governance As of the announcement date (30 September 2026), AIA’s Board comprises Independent Non-executive Chairman Sir Mark Edward Tucker, Executive Director and Group Chief Executive Mr. Lee Yuan Siong, and 11 Independent Non-executive Directors.

The application reinforces AIA’s ongoing use of the Hong Kong debt capital market to optimise its capital structure within the framework of its existing medium-term note programme.
