Alibaba has introduced "Wukong," the world's first enterprise-level AI-native work platform, designed to equip every team and company with a 24/7 AI workforce. Wukong is a standalone application that begins invite-only testing immediately and will also be integrated directly into DingTalk, used by over 20 million organizations.

DingTalk's CEO stated that the platform represents a fundamental rebuild of DingTalk with AI. He explained that while in the past people used DingTalk to work, in the future, AI will use DingTalk to work. Unlike many AI agents on the market, which he described as "personal toys," Wukong is built from the ground up for enterprise use. It operates within a secure, enterprise-grade environment where AI agents automatically adhere to company permission rules, all actions run in a secure sandbox, and token consumption and costs are transparently managed, similar to a budget.

This focus on security, control, and cost management within a real business environment is the key differentiator for Wukong, shifting AI from a niche tool to a core component of enterprise productivity.

Furthermore, Wukong will launch simultaneously in global markets, with future support for connecting to major international messaging platforms. Users will be able to activate Wukong remotely from computers or mobile devices. DingTalk users can access Wukong directly through the latest AI 2.0 version of the app.

The platform also launched an AI capability market, partnering with developers to create a comprehensive ecosystem of enterprise-grade Skills. This system provides a full pipeline from development and review to listing and distribution. Wukong is fully compatible with open-source Skill frameworks, with the ambition of becoming the world's largest toB Skill marketplace.

Subsequently, business capabilities from Alibaba Group's portfolio, including Taobao, Tmall, 1688, Alipay, and Alibaba Cloud, will be gradually integrated into Wukong. For example, in e-commerce, Wukong will simplify processes for merchants on 1688, such as product selection and sourcing. It can conduct comprehensive background checks on suppliers, help merchants avoid risks, and identify reliable partners. The AI agent will enable deep sourcing and cross-platform price comparison, significantly improving procurement efficiency. New online stores can be set up using 1688's official distribution supply chain, with AI managing operations and product listings automatically.

Concurrently, Wukong unveiled its OPT (One Person Team) solutions for ten major industries. This initiative is the world's first to transform AI Skills from a technical concept into ready-to-use, industry-specific products. The initial solutions cover e-commerce, cross-border e-commerce, knowledge-based content creation, development, retail stores, design, manufacturing, legal services, finance/tax, and recruitment.

Unlike generic agent frameworks, Wukong OPT delivers "scenario-specific Skill kits + pre-arranged workflows + industry data." Users focus on decision-making and approval, while the AI handles execution. Each Skill is not an abstract capability but a concrete, industry-grade module tied to specific scenarios, roles, and standard operating procedures.

The launch of Wukong marks DingTalk's evolution from a collaboration tool into an AI-native work platform. The CEO remarked that over the past 11 years, DingTalk changed how people work, and now Wukong is attempting to define a new way of working for the AI era. He acknowledged that Wukong is in its early stages but emphasized that its evolution will be rapid.
