The report also noted that ChatGPT has surpassed 800 million weekly active users. OpenAI emphasized that enterprise AI adoption is accelerating, characterized by deeper integration. Over the past year, weekly interactions with ChatGPT Enterprise have grown eightfold, while the average number of weekly instructions per user has increased by 30%. Structured workflows, such as project management and customized GPTs, have seen a 19x surge in usage this year, signaling a shift from ad-hoc queries to systematic, reusable business processes. Enterprise-level model inference computing power consumption has also skyrocketed, with the average token consumption per company growing 320x over the past 12 months. OpenAI interprets this as evidence that smarter large models are being systematically integrated into expanding enterprise products and services. The report further highlights that AI is increasingly being deployed for highly complex professional tasks. Across industries, AI adoption is widespread, with professional services, finance, and technology sectors showing particularly strong growth due to scalable implementations. Globally, Australia, Brazil, the Netherlands, and France saw enterprise client numbers grow by over 140% year-over-year, making them the fastest-expanding markets. On the technical front, OpenAI's international API enterprise customer base increased by more than 70% in the past six months, with Japan ranking as the top non-U.S. market for enterprise API adoption. Survey data shows that 75% of professionals reported significant improvements in work efficiency or quality after using AI tools. On average, users save 40 to 60 minutes daily, while power users save over 10 hours weekly. Notably, non-technical employees sent 36% more programming-related instructions, and 75% successfully completed tasks previously beyond their capabilities with AI assistance. The report also identifies a critical trend: the gap between leading-edge users, top-performing companies, and industry averages continues to widen. The top 5% of users send six times more weekly instructions than average users and leverage advanced model features more extensively. Leading enterprises exhibit twice the median weekly interactions per seat and achieve deep cross-team AI collaboration. OpenAI notes this disparity carries practical significance—greater AI adoption across diverse business scenarios correlates with higher time-saving benefits. In a blog post this Monday, OpenAI stated: "We roll out new features or capabilities every three days on average. Today, the core bottleneck for enterprises embracing AI is no longer model performance or tools but organizational adaptability and execution capabilities."
