As the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holiday approaches, travel demand among residents and tourists continues to climb.

According to Harbin Taiping International Airport, passenger traffic is expected to reach its peak during the dual-holiday period, with an estimated 4,864 flights and 740,000 passengers handled.

Specifically, the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday is expected to see 1,406 flights and 213,000 passengers, while the National Day holiday is projected to handle 3,458 flights and 527,000 passengers.

During the dual-holiday period, passenger flows from both family visits and autumn tourism are overlapping, driving an overall significant rebound in airport traffic.

Based on current ticket sales data, popular domestic routes for residents are concentrated in cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Chengdu, Sanya, Xi'an, and Kunming, with passenger volumes growing across multiple points and routes warming up across the board.

As outbound travel continues to recover, inquiries and bookings for international flights to countries such as South Korea have risen notably.

To fully cope with the large passenger volume during the dual-holiday period, Harbin Airport has actively coordinated with various airlines to optimize flight operation plans, expanding capacity through adding new flights and upgrading to wide-body aircraft to fully meet passenger travel needs.

The airport has simultaneously launched a pre-holiday safety production inspection, focusing on strengthening hazard identification in key areas such as terminals and airfield zones, enhancing dynamic weather monitoring, and improving various emergency response plans, ensuring safety management responsibilities are implemented at every post and every stage to build a solid safety defense line for holiday operations.

The airport has dynamically optimized service support measures, adding check-in counters and security lanes based on real-time passenger flow changes to improve throughput efficiency.

Dedicated check-in counters for late-arriving passengers and express security channels have been set up to provide convenience for passengers in urgent travel situations.

In response to the increase in child passengers, the unaccompanied minor service has been upgraded, implementing full-escort, dedicated accompaniment, and closed-loop boarding handover management to ensure children travel safely and smoothly.

Additionally, the airport has established dedicated check-in areas for special-needs passengers, providing priority guidance and one-on-one assistance services for elderly passengers, first-time flyers, and passengers with disabilities.

During windy or rainy weather, the airport continues to offer convenient services such as luggage wiping and free raincoat distribution at boarding gates, enhancing the passenger travel experience through attention to detail.

The airport kindly reminds passengers that during holidays, terminal passenger flows are concentrated and processing times increase, so please arrive at the airport early to complete check-in procedures, stay updated on real-time flight status, and plan travel itineraries reasonably.
