At the Alipay AI Ecosystem Partner Conference held in Hangzhou on the afternoon of August 17, Li Jun, President of the Alipay Business Group, addressed the intelligent transformation of merchant operations. He stated that the intelligent upgrade of merchant operations will unfold across three phases.

The first phase is intelligent custody, where merchants are willing to experiment with low-cost trials to enhance their independent intelligent capabilities. The second phase is autonomous intelligence, in which merchants begin to see conversions driven by intelligent service demands and actively seek intelligent evolution. The third phase is autonomous control, leading to the formation of an agent network, with a large-scale emergence of merchant and personal agents, ultimately creating a comprehensive agent ecosystem.

Li Jun further emphasized that "a new wave of entry-point transformation is underway, with intelligent operations exhibiting full-domain, scenario-based, and instantaneous characteristics." He stressed that "the trend toward an agent-driven commercial era is inevitable. We are already in the inaugural year of this trend, and it requires industry-wide collaboration and multi-party synergy."
