KB LAMINATES (01888) surged more than 5%, and as of the time of writing, it was up 4.65% to HK$13.96, with a turnover of HK$81.7041 million. On the news front, due to tight supply and soaring prices of raw materials such as fiberglass cloth, Japanese semiconductor material manufacturer Resonac announced that starting March 1st, it will increase the prices of printed circuit board (PCB) materials, including copper-clad laminate (CCL) and adhesive sheets, by more than 30%.

Furthermore, recent market rumors suggest that NVIDIA's Rubin Ultra will abandon orthogonal backplanes and switch to a copper cable solution. However, industry insiders indicate that the core positioning of orthogonal backplanes has not fundamentally changed.

Guotai Haitong Securities stated that since the second half of 2025, KB LAMINATES has already implemented price hikes three times at the beginning of August, October, and December, with another increase in December, marking two hikes within the month that exceeded expectations. This signifies that, driven by AI industry prosperity, the entire supply chain is entering a healthy price increase cycle.

The company is concurrently engaged in copper foil, electronic cloth, and CCL. As an integrated industry leader, it is well-positioned to benefit across all segments from this rising price cycle.
