Technology media reported on August 18th that the Logitech MX Master 4 mouse appeared prematurely on Amazon's Italian platform before being taken down, revealing that this productivity-focused mouse upgrade primarily concentrates on design and material improvements.

In terms of appearance, the Logitech MX Master 4 mouse continues the design language of its predecessor, the MX Master 3S, with limited overall shape changes. The main additions include a thumb gesture button and a forward button.

Regarding materials, Logitech officially claims the MX Master 4 uses materials that are easier to clean and more stain-resistant, particularly addressing the previous issues with TPU rubber surfaces that were prone to aging and yellowing, though the actual effectiveness remains to be verified through user experience.

This upgrade also adjusts the main button materials. The MX Master 4's main buttons now use textured transparent hard plastic, improving both tactile feel and cleaning convenience compared to the previous generation. The back material has not been fully confirmed but is suspected to have also changed to hard plastic, further reducing rubber aging issues. The overall structure maintains the classic ergonomic design, suitable for extended office work and multitasking operations.

Despite improvements in appearance and materials, the MX Master 4's internal specifications remain largely unchanged. The leaked information did not mention upgraded sensors or polling rates, and it still does not support 1kHz high-speed polling. Note: Polling rate refers to how many times per second a mouse reports its position to the computer, measured in Hz. Higher polling rates (such as 1kHz) can provide smoother and more precise operation experiences.

Battery life remains at 70 days, continuing the MX Master series' long-lasting battery advantage. Additionally, it still does not include a USB cable in the package, requiring users to purchase separately or use their own cables.

One highlight of this upgrade is the introduction of customizable Haptic Sense technology. This feature works in conjunction with the thumb gesture button and Logi Options+ software, allowing users to adjust vibration feedback for gesture controls according to personal preferences. The company states this technology can enhance the customization experience, particularly suitable for professional users who need complex shortcut operations, enabling more efficient multitasking switches.
