Zijin Mining Group Company Limited (SSE: 601899) has issued a formal apology after multiple basic textual mistakes were discovered in its 2026 semi-annual report, reassuring investors that the errors do not affect any financial data or operational metrics.

On September 5, the company published a corrective announcement titled "Announcement on Correcting Certain Textual Errors in the Notes to the Financial Statements of the Periodic Report." According to the statement, after thorough verification, the identified errors do not involve financial data, accounting items, or operational indicators in the periodic report, and will not have a material impact on the authenticity, accuracy, or completeness of any previously disclosed periodic reports.

"The company sincerely apologizes to investors and relevant parties," Zijin Mining stated. "Going forward, we will further enhance our internal information disclosure management systems, strictly enforce proofreading and approval procedures, and strengthen communication and coordination with the annual audit accounting firm to prevent such issues from recurring."

The errors, which sparked widespread discussion online, were found in the notes to major items in the consolidated financial statements. For instance, "墨竹工卡县人民政府" (People's Government of Mozhugongka County) was mistakenly written as "墨竹工卡县人民币政府," incorrectly inserting the characters for "RMB" instead of "people." Additionally, "青海西宁农村商业银行股份有限公司" (Qinghai Xining Rural Commercial Bank Co., Ltd.) was erroneously shortened to "青海西宁农村商业股份有限公司," omitting the word "银行" (bank). Another mistake included writing "江苏藏青新能源产业发展基金合伙企业（有限合伙）" as "江苏藏青新熊源产业发展基金合伙企业（有限合伙)," wrongly substituting a character in the name.

The company emphasized that these typographical issues are limited to textual descriptions and do not alter any underlying financial information, ensuring the reliability of its reported results.
