Hong Kong Stocks Movement | Damai Entertainment (01060) Surges Over 5% Again on Regional Sports Ticketing Entry and IP Business Focus

Stock Track
07-16

Damai Entertainment (01060) shares climbed over 5% during trading, extending recent gains. At the time of writing, the stock traded at HK$1.10, marking a 1.85% increase with a notable turnover of HK$171 million. The company recently decided to shut down its wholly-owned trendy toy brand Jinli Naqu following comprehensive assessments of market conditions and operational efficiency. Concurrently, Damai secured a significant foothold in regional sports ticketing through its official channel status for the July 5 Jiangsu Super League match between Nanjing and Suzhou teams.

CITIC Securities highlighted these strategic shifts as evidence of sharper business focus. Damai's entry into regional sports event ticketing leverages tournament visibility to expand its male user base, complementing its predominantly female-oriented music performance market. The brokerage emphasized that Jinli Naqu's closure won't disrupt the company's consumer-facing IP derivative operations. Recent activity from Aliyu shows promising growth, with increased IP licensing and marketing campaigns for brands like Sanrio and Chiikawa expected to drive performance gains. Aliyu's end-to-end IP management capabilities position Damai favorably for securing additional premium intellectual properties, potentially strengthening future revenue streams.
