On November 26, the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council held a regular press conference. A reporter asked about the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) authorities' decision to fully lift import restrictions on Japan Foods, which has faced widespread skepticism on the island. Spokesperson Peng Qing'en responded, stating that they have noted the reports and the strong public concerns over the DPP authorities' disregard for public opinion in lifting the ban on Japan-related products.

Peng emphasized that the DPP authorities, driven by self-interest, have blatantly ignored public health, further exposing their pro-independence stance and shameless pandering to Japan. The move has sparked significant backlash among Taiwanese residents.
