The meeting was characterized by strong unity and high morale. A notable departure from previous practices was the seating of enterprise representatives on the main podium, signaling the district's commitment to making businesses feel valued and integral to its development ambitions. District officials emphasized that entrepreneurs are honored guests and key players in the district's push to advance emerging industries.
Suyu District is determined to become the strongest growth engine for high-quality development in Suqian. Achieving this requires not only economic scale but also superior development quality and leadership capabilities. To break through in emerging and future industries, the district is prioritizing precision and strategic focus. The core area of the Digital Intelligence New City is positioned as the main base for fostering new productive forces and elevating the overall industrial level.
Robotics has been identified as a primary direction for future industrial development. Since November of last year, the district has attracted four robotics projects, including companies like Paxini Technology and Baichuan Data. Among them, Xianglu Robot stands out for its innovative application capabilities, having developed the Meishanshi AI cooking robot, which transforms culinary processes into precise controls of time, weight, and temperature, offering an integrated solution combining robotics, recipes, and kitchen management.
The district is also accelerating efforts in digital content and short-video industries. By attracting leading platforms such as Hongguo Short Drama and Hema Theater, Suyu aims to build a complete ecosystem encompassing scriptwriting, post-production, e-commerce, and livestreaming. Plans include exploring AI virtual production and cultivating talent in AI animation production through initiatives like the OPC Animation Workshop.
On March 5, the district held a scheduling meeting on AI development, particularly focusing on the integration of AI with short dramas, aiming to capitalize on new industrial trends. At the same time, Suyu is strengthening its traditional industrial base by accelerating transformation and upgrading. Key areas include advancing new materials, such as high-end polymer materials and synthetic pharmaceuticals, with an annual output value target exceeding ¥34 billion.
To foster innovation, Suyu is implementing a "Hundred Scenarios Application" project to establish a leading AI integration pilot zone in Northern Jiangsu. Efforts include upgrading an unmanned vehicle safety monitoring center, launching a smart connected vehicle park, and promoting commercial operations of unmanned driving. In industrial applications, the district is optimizing smart platforms for chemical parks and establishing pilot bases integrated with AI-driven testing and inspection functions to shorten R&D cycles.
Supporting these initiatives, Suyu is strengthening computational infrastructure through partnerships, with plans to achieve intelligent computing capacity of 1,000 petaflops within the year. An AI innovation center will promote digital human applications, serving over 10 companies in areas like e-commerce livestreaming and smart customer service.
Encouraging entrepreneurship, the district aims to cultivate more than 320 national sci-tech SMEs, add 19 high-tech enterprises, and foster 10 provincial-level unicorn or gazelle enterprises this year. With determination and vitality, Suyu District is forging ahead on a path of innovation and growth.
