ByteDance has initiated an organizational restructuring focused on its AI business, aiming to strengthen product and service coordination among Doubao, Larksuite, and Volcengine within enterprise productivity scenarios.
According to the adjustment plan, the Larksuite product team will integrate with the Doubao product team to form a new Doubao product team, led by Zhao Qi, the head of Doubao. Larksuite head Xie Xin will report to Zhao Qi.
On the GTM (market, sales, and customer service) front, the Larksuite GTM team will merge with the Volcengine team to establish a new ToB GTM organization called the "Creativity Service Platform." This platform will be responsible for the market, sales, and customer service of ByteDance's MaaS and SaaS cloud offerings, and will be led by Tan Dai, head of Volcengine. Larksuite sales head Lin Chan and Larksuite strategy and marketing head Shi Zhijun will report to Tan Dai.
After the restructuring is complete, Larksuite's existing products and services will remain unchanged. Additionally, Larksuite and Doubao will engage in deeper product collaboration on productivity scenarios. It is reported that the Doubao Enterprise Edition, which was developed with deep involvement from the Larksuite product team, has already begun internal testing with some Larksuite customers.
On the enterprise service front, the newly established Creativity Service Platform will consolidate ByteDance's ToB business capabilities to better serve customer AI needs. This organizational integration reflects ByteDance's increasing prioritization of its AI to B strategy.
As of June this year, the daily token usage of the Doubao large model has exceeded 180 trillion. Volcengine holds a significant share in the public cloud MaaS market, and Larksuite's commercialization growth has also accelerated noticeably. In the second quarter of 2026, over 90% of new Larksuite customers simultaneously purchased Larksuite's AI products.
According to July's average consumption statistics, ByteDance's large model business achieved an annualized revenue (ARR) of $4 billion, surpassing the total ARR of all other domestic model companies combined.
At the Volcengine FORCE Original Power Conference in June this year, ByteDance CEO Liang Rubo mentioned in his opening remarks that "climbing the AI peak is ByteDance's most important thing right now." He added that ByteDance is "focusing its energy on AI, and within AI, on improving model capabilities. In this context, the Volcengine MaaS business is becoming ByteDance's foundational business."
