On September 8, Global X Copper Miners ETF rose 5.23% in regular trading, trading at $95.015/share, with turnover of $70.08 million.

On the news front, LME three-month copper surged to a record high of $14,617 per tonne, driving copper mining stocks broadly higher across global markets. A-share copper stocks rallied 3.39% on the day, with cumulative gains of 45.93% over the past year. Hong Kong-listed copper miners also posted broad-based gains, with Jiangxi Copper, MMG, and China Molybdenum each rising over 4%.

On the supply side, data from the International Copper Study Group showed global copper mine production fell 1.1% in the first half, with Chile's Codelco and Freeport-McMoRan both recording double-digit output declines. Morgan Stanley, which had initially forecast copper supply growth, now expects output to be flat or slightly lower, potentially marking the first annual decline in global copper mine production since 2017. Analysts maintain that copper prices are likely to trend higher in the second half.

The fund invests at least 80% of its total assets in securities tracking global companies involved in the copper mining industry. The fund is non-diversified.
