Newtrend Group Holding Co., Ltd. (Newtrend Group) announced a board reshuffle effective 14 May 2026.

Dr. Li Ling resigned as Independent Non-Executive Director (INED) and as a member of both the Audit Committee and the Nomination Committee to focus on other business commitments. The company confirmed that Dr. Li had no disagreements with the board and no matters requiring shareholder attention.

To fill the vacancy, the board appointed Dr. Zhang Xi, aged 37, as an INED. Dr. Zhang, who holds a Ph.D. in Food Science from Cornell University, is currently Deputy General Manager of GENEDART Biotechnology Co., Ltd. Her background spans product R&D, technology transfer, and regulatory affairs in human and animal nutrition. Previous roles include R&D Director at Shenzhen Kexing Tianhe Biotechnology and Medical Director at Kexing Biopharm. Dr. Zhang will receive annual director’s emoluments and allowances of RMB 0.06 million and will serve until the forthcoming AGM, where she will be eligible for re-election.
