According to public information from the National Enterprise Credit Information Publicity System, CITIC Qingdao Asset Management Co., Ltd. has recently completed an equity change. CITIC Century Asset Management Co., Ltd. has exited its shareholding, while Online Banking (Beijing) Commercial Service Co., Ltd. has become the largest shareholder with a 66.67% stake. Qingdao International Investment Co., Ltd. holds the remaining 33.33%.

Online Banking is wholly owned by JD Technology Holding Co., Ltd. It was noted that on June 25 last year, the Shanghai United Assets and Equity Exchange disclosed that a 66.67% equity stake in CITIC Qingdao Asset Management was listed for transfer at a base price of approximately 3.014 billion yuan. The transferor was CITIC Century Asset Management.

Public records indicate that CITIC Qingdao Asset Management is the first municipal-level AMC (local asset management company) in China, primarily engaged in the acquisition, management, and disposal of non-performing assets. Financial data disclosed in the transfer announcement show that in 2024, the company reported revenue of 166 million yuan, a total profit of 135 million yuan, and a net profit of 101 million yuan. In the first five months of 2025, its revenue reached 129 million yuan, with a total profit of 119 million yuan and a net profit of 91 million yuan.

It was previously noted that JD Technology had already taken a stake in another local AMC based in Beijing. According to Tianyancha information, in 2019, JD Digits (now JD Technology) acquired a 15% stake in Beijing Asset Management Co., Ltd.

Notably, JD.com had earlier spent 3.25 billion yuan to acquire Home Credit Consumer Finance, thereby obtaining a consumer finance license. With the addition of this local AMC qualification, JD.com has further strengthened its financial business chain, spanning from payment services and consumer finance to loan issuance and the disposal of individual non-performing loans.
