To ensure the quality and safety of medical devices and strengthen public health protections, the Market Supervision Administration of Erdos City, Inner Mongolia, has recently implemented its annual work plan. This involves advancing regulatory tasks, conducting routine risk assessments, and carrying out targeted rectifications to steadily improve the effectiveness of medical device supervision.

Detailed work arrangements have been made to promote specific action plans. In strict accordance with the "Key Points and Work Plan for Medical Device Supervision in 2026," the administration has launched a comprehensive "1+7+2 Quality and Efficiency Enhancement Action" for medical devices. Centered on one core objective—ensuring the safety and efficacy of medical devices to protect public health—the initiative systematically advances seven major rectification campaigns. These efforts focus on grassroots medical institutions in rural and pastoral areas to accurately identify and address prominent industry issues. Through regular oversight and targeted governance, the goal is to achieve a dual improvement in regulatory capacity and high-quality safety standards, thereby continuously standardizing the order of medical device distribution and use.

Key areas and critical points are under close scrutiny to strengthen oversight in priority sectors. First, the focus is on critical products, with comprehensive inspections covering high-risk items such as in vitro diagnostic reagents, sterile devices, and implants, as well as commonly used devices that attract significant public attention. Second, major issues are strictly investigated, including the use of unregistered or unrecorded devices and expired consumables. Third, key entities such as medical institutions and aesthetic clinics are closely monitored to reinforce supervision and ensure these organizations fulfill their primary responsibilities.

Supervisory inspections have been intensified to rigorously identify and rectify potential safety hazards. The administration has coordinated inspections of medical device usage across all banners and districts citywide, increasing the frequency of routine checks and law enforcement actions to comprehensively identify and resolve various safety risks. To date, inspections have covered 217 business entities, uncovering 58 problem leads, with relevant case clues being handled according to law and regulations.

Moving forward, the Erdos Market Supervision Administration will continue to strengthen oversight through regular patrols, specialized rectifications, and risk assessments. It will also intensify efforts to investigate and penalize illegal activities, ensuring the stable and orderly operation of the city's medical device market and safeguarding public safety in device usage.
