CHINA TRAVEL HK (00308) has announced its interim results for the six months ended June 30, 2026, reporting a revenue of HK$2.056 billion, marking a year-on-year increase of 12.56%. The company recorded a profit attributable to equity holders of HK$112 million, reversing the loss incurred during the same period last year. Basic earnings per share stood at HK2.02 cents.

During the first half of 2026, the group's overall revenue rose compared to the same period last year, driven by the spin-off of its loss-making tourism property business through a distribution in specie completed in the second half of 2025, as well as the newly acquired Songhua Lake Company and China Travel Ice and Snow Company, which introduced fresh revenue growth streams.

For the first half of 2026, the group's scenic spot tourism and related businesses recorded total revenue of HK$989 million from continuing operations, up 37% year-on-year, with attributable profit reaching HK$108 million, compared to HK$22 million in the prior-year period.

Affected by intensified market competition and rainy weather conditions, theme park revenue during the first half of 2026 amounted to HK$253 million, a decrease of 7% year-on-year, with attributable profit of HK$18 million, down 20% from the same period last year. Natural and cultural scenic destination revenue reached HK$517 million, an increase of 14% year-on-year, while attributable profit surged to HK$46 million, representing a substantial 2,472% growth. Several scenic spots achieved record operating results, with newly invested scenic projects contributing to both revenue and profit.

Leisure and resort destination revenue totaled HK$219 million, with attributable profit of HK$44 million. Among these, Songhua Lake Company and China Travel Ice and Snow Company generated revenues of HK$163 million and HK$45 million, respectively. The leisure and resort destination business will implement the ice and snow tourism enhancement plan, accelerate the construction of new ski equipment halls, and prepare for the upcoming snow season.
