A promotional event highlighting Gansu province's signature agricultural products was held this morning at the Lhasa Sanctity Paradise InterContinental Hotel.

The event, themed "Sweet Gansu Products Entering Tibet," featured a series of captivating videos and distinctive presentations that brought the region's unique agricultural offerings to the attention of Tibetan business partners and purchasers.

The ceremony commenced with a dance performance titled "Ten Thousand Mountains," symbolizing the deep bond between Gansu and Tibet as they stand together across vast distances. Both regions, located in western China, share geographical proximity and cultural connections, with Gansu situated along the upper Yellow River and Tibet on the highland plateau. Their historical exchanges and cooperative potential are substantial.

Gansu serves as a vital corridor on the Silk Road and a major province for modern cold-arid agriculture, while Tibet, positioned as a key gateway to South Asia, represents a rapidly growing specialty consumer market. In recent years, the Gansu provincial government has vigorously promoted the expansion of "Gansu Flavor" products beyond its borders and overseas, establishing stable markets in Tibet for beef and mutton, dried fruits, potato products, medicinal herbs, and grain and oil items.

Linqu County, leveraging its Lhasa office and commercial networks within Tibet, has consistently supplied Hezhou beef and mutton, pre-packaged convenience foods, ethnic food products, and other agricultural specialties to meet the diverse consumption demands of Tibetan residents.

This promotional event serves as both a valuable opportunity to display Gansu's agricultural excellence and foster bilateral cooperation, and a significant practical step toward deepening agricultural exchanges and streamlining production-to-sales channels between the two regions.

At the event, the Gansu Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs presented an overview of the province's cold-arid modern agricultural development and the unique appeal of its "Gansu Flavor" products. The Linqu County People's Government highlighted the region's competitively advantaged agricultural and livestock offerings.

Representatives from participating enterprises conducted specialized product presentations featuring Guanghe lamb, Lanzhou lily bulbs, Qingyang apples, and Gannan Zhuoni black fungus, showcasing the diverse range and superior quality of Gansu's agricultural goods.

More than 100 attendees participated in the event, including government officials, industry association representatives, exhibiting enterprises, and procurement agents from both Gansu and Tibet.
