Jiangsu Hengrui Pharmaceuticals Co., Ltd. (ASX: 600276) has announced that its subsidiary, Chengdu Shengdi Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., recently received a Drug Clinical Trial Approval Notification from the National Medical Products Administration for the HRS-8797 tablet, with clinical trials scheduled to commence in the near term.

HRS-8797 tablet is a self-developed Class 1 innovative drug for the treatment of atopic dermatitis. According to available inquiries, there are currently no similar drugs approved for marketing globally.

As of now, the cumulative research and development investment for the HRS-8797 tablet project amounts to approximately 32.9 million yuan (unaudited).
