The Chongqing Municipal Government has released the "Chongqing Action Plan for Enhancing the Development Level of the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle (2026-2030)". The plan emphasizes promoting mutual empowerment between artificial intelligence and the "Digital Chengdu-Chongqing" initiative. It aims to explore coordinated linkages in key areas such as computing power, data, application scenarios, and policy ecosystems between Sichuan and Chongqing. This effort is intended to support AI technology research, application, and industrialization in the Chengdu-Chongqing region.

By 2030, the goal is for the intelligent computing power scale at the Chengdu-Chongqing computing hub node to reach 100,000 petaflops. The city plans to establish more than 10 AI industry application pilot bases and cultivate 20 influential vertical large-scale models and 5 major projects with national impact. Additionally, the daily token call volume is expected to lead in Western China.
