Weiye Holdings Warns of High Share Concentration; 20 Investors Control 83.50% After 8-Fold Price Rally

Weiye Holdings Limited reported that an enquiry by the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) revealed a significant concentration of its shareholding as of 11 May 2026.

According to the SFC findings, 20 shareholders collectively held 163.78 million shares, representing 83.50% of the company’s 196.13 million issued shares. A further 25.73 million shares (13.12%) were registered under HKSCC Nominees Limited but were not kept in the Central Clearing and Settlement System, lifting the combined tightly held stake to 96.62%. Consequently, only 6.62 million shares, or 3.38% of total issued shares, were in the hands of other investors.

During the period under review, the company’s share price rose sharply. The stock closed at HK$14.33 on 11 May 2026, an 812.7% increase from HK$1.57 on 10 November 2025. By 22 May 2026, the price had inched up further to HK$14.34, marking an 813.4% rise from the November level.

Despite the concentrated ownership, the board confirmed that at least 25% of Weiye Holdings’ issued shares remained in public hands on both 11 May 2026 and the date of the announcement, satisfying Hong Kong Stock Exchange public-float requirements.

The company cautioned that the limited free float could lead to substantial price volatility even on low trading volumes and advised investors to exercise extreme caution when dealing in its shares.
