League of Legends officially announced today that starting from version 25.18, expected to be released on September 11, the game will optimize and upgrade its DirectX 11 API usage on the Windows platform. This update will require users' graphics cards to support DirectX 11 Feature Level 11_0.

DirectX 11 is a major version, while Feature Level 11 (such as 11_0, 11_1) represents its sub-levels, indicating the specific graphics functionality grade supported by graphics card hardware. Even if a system displays "DirectX 11," the graphics card may only support lower levels such as 10_1.

League of Legends noted that DirectX API feature level support is determined by graphics card hardware. The earliest hardware that meets the latest requirements includes:

- GeForce 400 series NVIDIA graphics cards - ATI Radeon HD 5000 series AMD graphics cards - "Haswell" generation Intel integrated graphics

Among these, the latest released was the "Haswell" processor launched in 2013. Therefore, this hardware specification requirement change will only affect a small number of players.
