Shares of Glaukos (GKOS) surged 6.33% over the 24-hour trading period on Wednesday, fueled by the company's second-quarter earnings report that significantly exceeded analyst expectations and an upbeat full-year sales forecast.

The ophthalmic pharma and device company reported Q2 net sales of $185.6 million, up 49.5% year-over-year and well above the consensus estimate of $150.9 million. Adjusted net loss narrowed to $8.3 million, or $0.14 per share, beating analyst projections of a $0.21 loss per share. The strong performance was driven by the successful commercial execution of its iDose TR and Epioxa products, with U.S. glaucoma net sales jumping 64%.

Adding to the bullish sentiment, Glaukos raised its full-year 2026 net sales guidance to a range of $680 million to $700 million, up from the previous $620 million to $635 million, and far surpassing the FactSet consensus of $630 million. The stock had already rallied 5.07% in the regular session ahead of the earnings release, buoyed by a pipeline milestone—the completion of patient enrollment for its Preserflo MicroShunt pivotal study—and optimism surrounding the quarterly results.
