HENGRUI PHARMA (01276) climbed nearly 4% in Hong Kong trading, with shares last up 3.2% at HK$45.80, on turnover of HK$59.53 million.

The move follows the company's announcement that it spent RMB 14.50 million on September 17, 2026, to repurchase 335,000 A-shares—marking its first such buyback. According to a research report from Zheshang Securities, the company's innovative drug sales revenue reached RMB 8.809 billion in the first half of 2026, up 16.38% year-on-year and accounting for 63.16% of total pharmaceutical sales revenue.

Notably, revenue from non-oncology innovative products hit RMB 2.545 billion during the period, representing a robust 73.97% year-on-year gain and contributing approximately 87% of the overall growth in innovative drug sales. The surge was primarily driven by Henggliflozin, along with newly National Reimbursement Drug List (NRDL)-included drugs such as Ivarmacitinib, Vunakizumab, and Recaticimab. The brokerage believes that as these newly listed products continue to ramp up, the non-oncology segment is well-positioned to sustain its contribution to product revenue growth.
