Total SA and Turkish Petroleum Corporation have signed a memorandum of understanding to collaborate on oil and gas exploration.

The agreement establishes a framework for technical cooperation, which includes jointly assessing exploration opportunities in Turkey's Black Sea region and internationally.

Nicolas Mavroleon, Senior Vice President of Exploration at Total SA, stated: "We are pleased to initiate this collaboration with TPAO, leveraging the technical expertise of both parties to evaluate exploration opportunities in the Black Sea and internationally on a mutually beneficial basis."

The two companies did not disclose further details regarding specific assets or timelines.
