China Gold International Highlights Localized Slope Instability at CSH Mine; Annual Output Guidance Unchanged

Bulletin Express
05/27

China Gold International Resources Corp. Ltd. (CHINAGOLDINTL) disclosed that a localized slope instability incident occurred on 22 May 2026 at its open-pit Chang Shan Hao (CSH) Gold Mine in Inner Mongolia. According to the 27 May 2026 overseas regulatory filing with the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, the event was triggered by heavy rainfall recorded between 15 and 16 May, compounded by complex geological conditions.

The company’s slope-monitoring radar signaled warnings ahead of the event, enabling the immediate evacuation of personnel and equipment. No injuries or fatalities were reported. Open-pit mining operations have been temporarily suspended pending a comprehensive geotechnical and operational review, while processing activities continue using existing low-grade ore stockpiles to sustain production.

External geotechnical experts and professional consultants have been engaged to assess the affected area and formulate remediation plans. Based on current information, management does not expect the incident to materially impact China Gold International’s full-year production guidance, though the assessment remains in progress.

The Board, chaired by Chief Executive Officer Mr. Chenguang Hou, affirmed that further updates will be provided as material information becomes available.
