ASMPT (00522) has issued an announcement stating that Mr. Wong Chi Tat has decided not to seek re-election upon the expiry of his current term as a director at the company's upcoming Annual General Meeting scheduled for May 7, 2026. Consequently, Mr. Wong's tenure as an executive director will conclude at the end of the Annual General Meeting. Mr. Wong has also formally notified the Board of his decision to step down from his role as Group Chief Executive Officer to dedicate more time to his family and pursue new personal interests. The Board has accepted Mr. Wong's decision and is pleased to announce that he has agreed to remain as Group CEO until a successor is appointed to ensure an orderly and smooth transition. The company has initiated a comprehensive selection process to identify a successor to Mr. Wong and will issue a further announcement in due course. Additionally, Mr. Guenter Walter Lauber has decided not to seek re-election after his directorship term expires at the Annual General Meeting. Therefore, Mr. Lauber's tenure as an executive director will also conclude at the end of the Annual General Meeting.
