Q&M Dental Group's stock soared 3.67% in pre-market trading on Thursday following the company's announcement of a major expansion plan.
The company has entered into a non-binding memorandum of understanding to acquire 100% of an Australian dental group operating more than 40 clinics across multiple states for a total consideration of AUD144.5 million. The deal, which includes a seven-year profit guarantee, supports Q&M Dental's strategy of expanding beyond Singapore to build a regional platform.
The proposed acquisition would be settled through a combination of cash and new Q&M Dental Group shares, with the founding dentist-shareholders expected to sign 15-year service agreements to remain with the business. This move follows the company's previously announced plans to enter Thailand's dental market.
