HealthyWay Shares Surge Over 7% in Morning Session, Fueled by National Drug Pricing Reform and RWS Growth

HealthyWay (02587) saw its shares rise more than 7% before the midday break, following an earlier surge of over 22% in the morning session. As of the latest update, the stock was up 7.26% to HK$3.99, with a turnover of HK$281 million.

The movement follows the release of a policy document in April 2026 by the State Council, titled "Several Opinions on Improving the Drug Price Formation Mechanism." The core highlight of this new policy is the explicit proposal to "establish a drug medical insurance value assessment system" and to "improve the framework, rules, and procedures for real-world studies (RWS) on drugs." It encourages conducting RWS on innovative drugs to serve as scientific reference for pricing and for the dynamic adjustment of medical insurance payment standards.

Notably, HealthyWay's RWS business has demonstrated remarkable growth over the past three years. The annual number of delivered reports climbed from 450 in 2023 to 911 in 2025. The number of collaborating pharmaceutical companies grew rapidly from 33 in 2023 to 62 in 2024, surpassing 92 in 2025—a threefold increase over three years.

To date, the company has accumulated a valuable database of over 200 million doctor-patient interaction records. This data is being transformed, via AI algorithms, into research assets that comply with national regulatory standards, positioning it as a key factor in reshaping drug pricing logic.
