Civil works and electrical equipment installation are advancing simultaneously at the construction site of the Xiaoliang 35kV Substation No. 1 Main Transformer Upgrade Project in Hejin City, where various work crews are coordinating their efforts and carrying out construction in an orderly manner. As of now, the civil engineering portion of the project has reached 60% completion, while the electrical works stand at 15%.

Serving as a key livelihood infrastructure initiative to strengthen the regional power grid framework and address shortfalls in power supply capacity, the project has been under scientific coordination since its inception by the Hejin Power Supply Branch of State Grid Shanxi Electric Power Company. The project has been divided into two major segments — civil works and electrical works — with detailed construction tasks, optimized operational workflows, and a zoned, phase-by-phase execution strategy implemented to compress the overall construction timeline.

Throughout the construction process, the company has reinforced its commitment to production safety by conducting routine safety inspections, hazard screenings, and quality spot checks, while rigorously overseeing critical stages such as material acceptance, equipment installation, and system commissioning to ensure the project proceeds to high standards with exceptional quality. Upon completion, the project will significantly enhance the stability, reliability, and safety of power supply across the Xiaoliang area, better meeting the electricity demands of local industrial, agricultural, and residential users, and providing solid power support for the region's high-quality economic and social development.

According to the project manager, the overall construction is proceeding in a stable and controlled manner with orderly progress. All personnel on site remain focused on the targets of safety, quality, and schedule, making concentrated efforts to complete the equipment installation and commissioning tasks by the end of September, ensuring the project is delivered and put into operation on time.
