**Who is Shivon Zilis?** The 38-year-old Zilis, known for her leadership role at Neuralink, has an impressive professional background. Born in Canada, her father is Canadian while her mother, Sharda N., is of Indian descent. Even before her association with Musk brought her into the public eye, Zilis had already built a distinguished academic and career record.

A Yale graduate with dual degrees in economics and philosophy, Zilis has held key positions at several top AI organizations. Before joining Neuralink in 2017, she served as a board member and advisor at OpenAI and as a project director at Tesla.
