CoreWeave, Inc. (CRWV) shares plummeted 13.74% during intraday trading on Friday, as investors reacted negatively to the company's latest financial results and aggressive spending plans.
The sharp decline was driven by the AI cloud infrastructure provider's fourth-quarter earnings report, which revealed a widening net loss. The company also announced plans to more than double its capital expenditure in 2026 to between $30 billion and $35 billion, up from $14.9 billion in 2025, raising significant concerns about near-term margin pressure.
Further dampening investor sentiment, CoreWeave issued first-quarter revenue guidance of $1.9 billion to $2.0 billion, which fell short of market expectations. The combination of higher spending, profitability concerns, and a softer near-term outlook led to the substantial sell-off in the stock.
