Sino-Ocean Group Reports RMB16.69 Billion in Overdue Borrowings; Litigation Stable but Debt Pressure Persists

Hong Kong-listed developer Sino-Ocean Group Holding Limited has disclosed fresh data on the financial and legal status of its wholly owned subsidiary, Beijing Sino-Ocean Group Holding Limited (“Sino-Ocean Holding”), as at 31 August 2026.

Debt Position • Overdue borrowings stood at RMB16.69 billion (USD2.30 billion), down from RMB18.16 billion at end-2025 but RMB0.29 billion higher than the July figure. • Composition of overdue amounts: – Bank loans: RMB3.94 billion – Corporate credit bonds: RMB0.26 billion – Other interest-bearing liabilities: RMB6.50 billion – Non-bank institutional debt (principal and interest): RMB6.00 billion The figures are unaudited and may be adjusted upon completion of the year-end audit.

Litigation Update During August 2026, no new major lawsuits were initiated against Sino-Ocean Holding. Two existing major cases advanced procedurally, and one “dishonest judgement debtor” case remains outstanding.

Management Response and Outlook Management acknowledges the overdue debt and litigation pressures but states that day-to-day operations and corporate governance remain normal. Active negotiations with creditors and other stakeholders are ongoing to craft a comprehensive debt-resolution plan, with further disclosures to follow per regulatory requirements.
