Hong Kong Dollar Interbank Rates Mostly Rise; One-Month Rate Sheds 3.816 Basis Points to 2.55476%

On August 14, Hong Kong dollar interbank rates showed a general upward trend, with the majority of tenors climbing.

The one-month HIBOR, which is closely tied to mortgage rates, fell by 3.816 basis points to 2.55476%. In contrast, the three-month rate, a key indicator of bank funding costs, rose by 0.566 basis points to 2.90566%.

The overnight rate edged up by 8.857 basis points to 2.17250%. Meanwhile, the one-week rate increased by 3.839 basis points to 2.18649%, and the two-week rate also rose by the same margin, reaching 2.28649%.

The two-month rate remained unchanged at 2.80000%. On the longer end of the curve, the six-month rate increased by 0.518 basis points to 3.18268%, while the one-year rate stayed flat at 3.50000%.
