On the afternoon of August 29th, MEITUAN-W officially launched its discount supermarket chain "Happy Monkey" with the opening of its flagship store in Hangzhou. This move represents a significant step forward in the company's expansion into the discount retail sector.

The inaugural store is situated on Daguan Road in Gongshu District, Hangzhou, spanning approximately 1,000 square meters. The outlet currently stocks thousands of products, primarily focusing on daily essentials and necessities. Strategically positioned among several established residential communities, the store operates from 7:30 AM to 9:30 PM.

According to industry reports, MEITUAN-W plans to accelerate the rollout of Happy Monkey stores across key cities including Hangzhou and Beijing. The company's second Hangzhou location at Gongshu Meidali Yang is expected to open in September, while the Beijing flagship store will debut in the near future.

This expansion into discount retail demonstrates MEITUAN-W's continued diversification strategy, targeting the growing market demand for affordable everyday products through physical retail presence.
