This Friday, September 11th, marks the eighth day of the eighth lunar month, and the 18th fuel price adjustment of the year is scheduled for 24:00 tonight (September 11).

Expect cloudy skies with scattered thundershowers today, with temperatures ranging from 24 to 31 degrees Celsius and a north-northwesterly breeze of 2 to 3 on the Beaufort scale.

The upcoming price hike is driven by escalating geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, which have heightened shipping risks in the Strait of Hormuz. This has rapidly boosted the risk premium in the crude oil market, leading to significant gains in both international and domestic crude prices this week.

According to calculations made on the fifth working day of the cycle, gasoline and diesel prices are projected to rise by 160 yuan and 155 yuan per tonne, respectively. For end consumers at the pump, this translates to an estimated increase of 0.13 yuan per liter for 92-octane gasoline, 0.14 yuan per liter for 95-octane gasoline, and 0.13 yuan per liter for 0 diesel.

Once the adjustment takes effect, filling a standard 50-liter tank will cost an additional 6.5 to 7 yuan. Please note that the final adjusted price will be officially confirmed by the National Development and Reform Commission.
