On the afternoon of September 29, a meeting on Pinghu City's "Red Boat Youth" brand building and young journalist association 2025 annual work conference was held at the Pinghu Education Bureau. The meeting was attended by Party committee members and senior officials from the Jiaxing News Media Center, along with leaders from Pinghu's Propaganda Department and Education Bureau, as well as principals and teacher representatives from primary and secondary schools across the city.
During the meeting, Deputy Director Zhang Wei of Pinghu Education Bureau delivered an annual work report, systematically reviewing the fruitful achievements of young journalist work over the past year. Nearly 4,000 young journalists from across the city actively participated in various practical activities, including "Little Tourism Ambassadors," "I Am a Cultural Relic Surveyor," police experience camps for young journalists, and series commemorating the 80th anniversary of victory in the Anti-Japanese War. These activities effectively broadened students' horizons and enhanced their comprehensive abilities. Zhang Wei also identified current challenges such as uneven development across different school levels and significant disparities between schools, proposing future priorities including promoting middle school journalist station construction, advancing balanced urban-rural development, and deepening quality activity planning to support the "Excellence in Education Pinghu" brand building.
The "Jiaxing Young Journalist Association Pinghu Work Station" was officially inaugurated at the meeting. This marks the formal entry of Pinghu's young journalist work into a new phase of deep media-education integration and enhanced resource efficiency. The establishment of the work station will provide broader practical platforms and more professional media support for Pinghu's youth.
The meeting also recognized ten schools with outstanding performance in young journalist work over the past year with "Outstanding Organization Awards." Representatives from winning institutions including Pinghu Experimental Primary School, affiliated schools, and Pinghu Baihua Primary School took the stage to receive their awards. One representative school shared valuable experiences in campus-based practice, activity innovation, and educational outcome transformation.
According to reports, Pinghu Education Bureau highly values the important role of young journalist work in comprehensive education, viewing it as a crucial vehicle for cultivating students' social responsibility, innovative spirit, and practical abilities.
