Hao Tian Intl’s FY 2025/26 ESG Report: Greenhouse-Gas Emissions Rise 27%, New 2030 Targets Set for Lower Intensities

Hao Tian International Construction Investment Group (Hao Tian Intl) has released its Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Report for the year ended 31 March 2026, covering its core construction-machinery and financial-services operations in Hong Kong.

Environmental Metrics and Targets • Total greenhouse-gas (GHG) emissions rose to 472.81 tCO₂e, up 27% from 370.91 tCO₂e in FY 2024/25, driven chiefly by higher diesel usage. Scope 1 emissions reached 329.03 tCO₂e, while Scope 2 electricity-related emissions were 143.78 tCO₂e. • Automotive nitrogen-oxide (NOₓ) emissions fell 20% year-on-year to 387.32 kg; sulphur-oxide (SOₓ) emissions edged up to 1.36 kg. Particulate emissions declined 34% to 42.30 kg. • Total hazardous waste rose to 1.60 tonnes (16.58 kg per employee) versus 0.40 tonnes a year earlier. Non-hazardous waste remained stable at 0.65 tonnes. • Energy consumption totalled 84,673 litres of diesel, 6,880 litres of petrol and 228,228 kWh of electricity; water use was 558 cubic metres. • The group targets a 2% reduction in both GHG intensity and energy/water intensity by 2030 from the FY 2025/26 baseline. Actions include phasing in Stage IIIA-compliant construction machinery, retiring pre-Euro IV diesel vehicles, and expanding energy-efficient office practices.

Climate-Risk Assessment Hao Tian Intl completed its first climate-related risk review, identifying extreme weather, rising temperatures and tightening disclosure rules as non-material but monitored risks. Mitigation measures include emergency work protocols, regular machinery maintenance and enhanced data collection for future disclosures.

Social Performance • Headcount stood at 98 (85 male, 13 female); 96 employees are Hong Kong-based. • Overall staff turnover was 17.0%, with female turnover at 41.4% and male at 13.4%. • No work-related fatalities or lost-time injuries were recorded during the year. • Training reached 88.2% of male staff and 30.8% of female staff, averaging 4.4 and 2.7 hours respectively. • The group confirms full compliance with employment, health-and-safety and labour-standards legislation, with zero prosecutions.

Supply Chain and Governance • Supplier base totals 54, comprising 52 in Hong Kong and two overseas. Annual assessments cover environmental, social and ethical criteria. • Anti-corruption controls include a board-approved code of conduct, whistle-blowing channels and adherence to Hong Kong’s Anti-Money Laundering Ordinance. No corruption cases occurred during the reporting period. • Product-responsibility measures include rigorous machinery testing, 12-month manufacturer warranties and compliance training for financial-services staff. No product recalls or customer complaints were logged.

Community Engagement The company maintained community involvement through sports, elder-care visits and support for children with special needs; no quantifiable volunteer hours were reported.

Forward Look Hao Tian Intl plans to align operations with evolving environmental regulations, deepen stakeholder engagement and pursue its stated 2030 intensity-reduction goals to reinforce long-term sustainability.
