BYD Han Reaches Million Sales Milestone: Young Buyers Account for Over 64%, Nearly 40% Unmarried

As automotive market competition intensifies, BYD Han series has achieved a significant milestone. On the fifth anniversary of its delivery, cumulative sales have successfully surpassed 1 million units, revealing the demographic profile of its million car owners and showcasing the unique market appeal of this flagship sedan.

In terms of owner age demographics, young people have become the absolute main force, with post-90s and post-00s generations accounting for over 64%, of which nearly 40% are unmarried. This data fully demonstrates that BYD Han has successfully captured the hearts of numerous young consumers through its inherent advantages.

Regarding gender distribution, male users account for over 70%, representing the primary purchasing group. Meanwhile, individual users (non-commercial vehicles) account for as high as 95%, highlighting BYD Han's popularity in the private consumer market.

In terms of market coverage, users from tier-1 and new tier-1 cities account for over 34%, while those from tier-3 and above cities represent over 60%. This indicates that BYD Han has gained widespread recognition whether in bustling metropolises or various tier cities.

Concerning family status, married family users account for over 60%, but notably, nearly 40% of unmarried groups have also chosen BYD Han, demonstrating the broad applicability of its target demographic.

Regarding usage scenarios, on weekdays, BYD Han typically carries 1-2 passengers for business commuting or family transportation; on weekends, it often accommodates 2-4 people for outings, visiting relatives and friends, with short-distance transportation within a 60KM radius being the primary usage scenario.

The proportion of upgrade/replacement buyers approaches 70%, a particularly impressive figure indicating that many car owners, after comparing multiple vehicle models, still firmly chose BYD Han, sufficiently proving that its comprehensive capabilities can withstand market scrutiny.

Brand value, ultra-fast charging capability, exterior design, Blade Battery technology, safety features, and economic efficiency are all important factors that attract car owners. The standard "God's Eye" assisted driving system, fifth-generation DM hybrid technology, and full-domain 800V high-voltage architecture further distinguish BYD Han in terms of technological sophistication and performance.

Mr. Li, a post-95s car owner from Zhengzhou who recently started working and remains unmarried, smiled and said: "When I was choosing a car, I compared several models, but was ultimately attracted by BYD Han's appearance and cost-effectiveness. Young people like vehicles with high aesthetic appeal and good performance that give us face when driving out. Moreover, its economic efficiency is excellent, so for those of us who just started working, the financial pressure isn't too great."

Mr. Wang from Luoyang, a married corporate employee, stated: "We previously had a car at home, and this time when replacing it, we wanted something superior in all aspects. BYD Han's safety and space perfectly meet my needs, convenient for daily commuting and weekend family outings. Choosing it as an upgrade/replacement purchase, I think it's very worthwhile."
