A sudden landslide struck near the Shijiagou tunnel in Zhiliuhe Village, Gesala Township, Yanbian County, Panzhihua City, Sichuan Province, in the early hours of September 19, leaving some individuals unaccounted for.

In response to the disaster, the Sichuan Provincial Department of Emergency Management has coordinated with the Panzhihua City and Yanbian County Emergency Management Bureaus for joint consultations on rescue operations. A working group has been dispatched to the site to guide handling of the situation.

Simultaneously, a Wing Loong unmanned aerial vehicle has been mobilized to restore communication links and conduct aerial reconnaissance over the affected area. Local authorities are currently organizing forces to carry out rescue and disaster relief efforts.
